Share Your Resolution With Us!

With the New Year almost upon us, it’s always a good time to take stock of what we accomplished in the year that is receding into history and, more importantly, how we envision the year ahead as it will unfold. It has been said that life has a certain current to it and if we are not moving forward, we are most certainly being pushed back. In this spirit, we are asking our USAO family to share their aspirations for 2012 here on this page as a means of creating a community spirit of encouragement as we each advance our goals, personal or professional, in 2012.

I have resolved that in the new year I will strive to achieve academic success that surpasses my previous semesters, including turning that "D" in Physical Science into a "B" or higher. In addition, since this will be my final year at USAO, I am fixed on producing a body of artwork that demonstrates the highest of my abilities and trumps all of my preceding work for my BFA Senior Exhibition in the Fall.

My new years resolution was to find a job with a well established company,
After just 4 days of trying I managed to do this! I am now a member of the team at Simply Bar Stools and I have an apprenticeship in web development!

Get back into the habit of reading/ researching new topics

In 2012 I would like to read and write more. The creative writing class I took in the fall really made me remember how much I love writing.

1. As usual, my number one New Year Resolution is to get in shape; meaning a healthier diet and more frequent exercise.

2. I want to try harder in all my classes - and prioritize them before work and extracurriculars. Although I was happy with my grades last semester, I know I can do better.

3. Read more books, blogs, magazines, newspapers, websites, etc. I didn't consume nearly enough media this Fall and it left me feeling behind on what was going on in the world.

4. Volunteer more.

5. Do something different and new.

Get A's

I'd like to spend more time reading, writing, playing the oud and eating whole foods. It's tough to remember sometimes that we are all responsible for our own happiness but that doesn't make it any less true.

GO DROVERS!
